Walter MC232 Perform series of solid carbide milling cutters feature a corner radius and reduced neck.
Walter MC232 Perform series of solid carbide milling cutters feature a corner radius and reduced neck, enabling improved approaches to individual component geometries, the company says. The corner radius is also said to improve tool life by increasing edge stability. The reduced neck is said to make the milling cutter more flexible, since it can be used with a wider variety of cutting depths.
Available in diameters ranging from 1/8″ to ¾” and from 2 to 20 mm, the MC232 can be used for most typical milling applications such as shoulder milling, slotting, pocket milling, helical plunging and ramping in various materials. For small and medium batch sizes, the company says, the Perform series offers cost efficiency with steel, stainless steel and cast iron.
