Mold Hotrunner Solutions Inc. (MHS), part of the Westfall Technik Group (WTI) from Las Vegas, USA, since December 2018, encourages companies to ‘think small’. And staying true to the theme ‘think small’, MHS will present its revolutionary M3 micro injection moulding machine in co-operation with WTI at the K trade show in Düsseldorf, Germany in October.
Until now, injection moulding of micro-components was often only possible with enormous amounts of waste through the needed cold runner. Conventional approaches require considerable compromises in terms of part quality and scalability. The technology developed by MHS redefines the possibilities in the growing field of ‘micro injection moulding’. The Isokor technology of the M3 enables direct injection of parts without a cold runner, Canada-based MHS notes.
“The M3 technology is a real breakthrough and, at the same time, an important milestone in times of precision injection moulding. We see the M3 as a ‘game changer’ and are pleased with the advantages it brings,” says MHS Vice President Harald Schmidt.
