The Plastic Knowledge Day 2019 organised by GOM has already had great success with their first event. Further opportunities to take part are still available.
The Plastics Knowledge Day 2019, an industrial meeting platform for representatives of the plastics industry to share knowledge and experience, already finished the first half of the event series. Together with its distributors, GOM creates an international platform for the exchange of user knowledge at more than 60 sites in total. The Plastics Knowledge Day 2019 has already taken place successfully 45 times worldwide with more than 2.500 participants.
Together with the users, GOM shows how precise industrial 3D metrology helps to ensure quality and to identify optimisation potentials in the plastics industry. Additionally, 3D metrology accelerates almost all areas: from determining material behavior via toolmaking up to production control during series production and trend analyses.
Since the beginning of the year, specialists from the plastics industry and experts in optical metrology meet at a free one-day event. In Germany, the Plastics Knowledge Day started at the headquarters in Braunschweig on January 29 with around 130 participants, who interactively broadened their knowledge.
At the events, presentations from renowned speakers from the user industry complemented the knowledge of the GOM experts. Companies such as Volkswagen, Pöppelmann and ASM contributed to the events increasing the quality of information and added valuable input to the exchange of knowledge and experience. The topics ranged from introduction to optical metrology via workflows for GD&T inspections up to virtual clamping of parts.
After the international event series will have finished by the end of 2019, further information and presentations of the lectures will be available.
Until the end of the year, experts can still become a part of these events by registering for events in the USA, Brazil, India, Canada, the United Kingdom and others.
