The EMO Hannover fair has increased its exhibitor list and all big players of the industry are attending. The central idea is smart technology and the production of the future.
“We are delighted with the fantastic response that EMO Hannover, the world’s leading trade fair for metalworking, has again received from all sides,” says EMO General Commissioner Carl-Martin Welcker. “The exhibitor directory shows a clear plus in comparison to the last EMO and already reads like a who’s who of the international machine tool industry,” he continues. The list of exhibitors is growing on an almost daily basis. The full list can be viewed online.“It’s also good to see that many exhibitors have increased their stand space and are now even more representative than last time.”
EMO Hannover 2019 will take place from 16 to 21 September under the motto “Smart technologies driving tomorrow’s production!”.
A new exhibition area “IoT in production” underscores its claim to position itself as a platform for networking in production.
Dr. Wilfried Schäfer, Managing Director of EMO organiser VDW (German Machine Tool Builders’ Association), explains: “IoT in production provides a complete overview of the central aspects of networking, including data security, data analysis, process monitoring, predictive maintenance, smart data management and much more.”
Club of Metalworking
EMO Hannover 2019 promises to be exciting. This is also attractive for the members of the Club of Metalworking who want to come to EMO. The VDW founded this network for international experts in production technology.
“The advantages of a membership are being exploited for the first time at EMO Hannover,” says Schäfer. It is free of charge and offers attractive services. Every member, from skilled worker to managing director, is welcome.
The fair will be presenting the latest machines, plus efficient technical solutions, product-supportive services, sustainability in the production process, and much, much more.
The principal focus of the EMO Hannover is on metal-cutting and forming machine tools, production systems, high-precision tools, automated material flows, computer technology, industrial electronics and accessories.
The trade visitors to the EMO come from all major sectors of industry, such as machinery and plant manufacturers, the automotive industry and its component suppliers, the aerospace sector, precision mechanics and optics, shipbuilding, medical technology, tool and die manufacture, steel and lightweight construction.
The EMO Hannover is one of the world’s most important international meeting point for production technology specialists from all over the planet. The EMO Hannover 2017 attracted almost 2,230 exhibitors from 44 different countries, and around 130,000 trade visitors from 160 nations.
As one of many examples, intelligent lightweight solutions will be among the topics of this year’s fair. They are increasingly gaining ground in machine tool construction.
The main focuses are on new geometries and materials as well as simulation and 3D printing. Exhibitors at EMO Hannover will be showing how products can be designed and manufactured to meet lightweight and sustainability criteria based on a range of examples.
