3D printing technology company B9Creations (Rapid City, SD) recently announced the launch of its additive manufacturing Healthcare Division & Service Bureau and new medical upgrade to its B9 Core Series 3D printer line.
The B9 Core Med 500 and the first two of its suite of biocompatible materials were introduced at Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) Minneapolis on Oct. 23 and 24.
B9Creations‘ professional 3D printing solutions enable a variety of high-precision applications for direct and OEM customers in nearly 70 countries worldwide, serving brands including Proctor & Gamble, 3M, B. Braun Medical Inc. and the National Institutes of Health. The new healthcare division will bring the company’s expertise to an array of new medical applications beyond the dental sector, integrating additive manufacturing into the design, production and use of medical devices, anatomical models, surgical tools, wearable technology and more, said the company.
Manufactured in the United States, the B9 Core Med 500 boasts IEC 60601-1 medical equipment compliance, and includes a new line of ISO 10993 biocompatible materials.
Engineered with input from industry experts from manufacturing to clinical settings and leveraging patented technology, B9Creations’ 3D printers are out-of-the-box and printing in 15 minutes, four times faster than industry average, according to the company. The printers reportedly never require calibration.
